There are ± 600,000 people (mostly families) involved in the coffee. The size of a finca (plantation) is ± 1 till 5 Ha. Colombia is exporting 11 to 13 million bags (70 kg) per year. Coffee regions are: Antioquia, Boyacá, Caldas, Cauca, Cesar, Caquetá, Casanare, Cundinamarca, Guajira, Huila, Magdalena, Meta, Nariño, Quindío, Risaralda, Santander, Tolima, Valle.
